Details of installation of the wheel cylinder of the drum-type brake mechanism (model Galant)

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Details of installation of the wheel cylinder of the drum-type brake mechanism are shown on an illustration.
2. Поддомкратьте the car also establish it on props.
3. Remove a spring of fastening of a boot to the adjusting lever.
4. Remove the top coupling spring.
5. Remove assemblage of an automatic regulator.
6. Prepare drain capacity and disconnect from the wheel cylinder a brake tube.

For отпускания штуцерной nuts, in order to avoid a rounding off of its corners шлицов, it is necessary to use special накидной a key with a cutting head, - prepare for gathering of a spilt liquid!


7. Turn out fixing bolts and remove assemblage of the wheel cylinder from a brake board.


Regenerative repair

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Composers of the present Management recommend to owners of the car to avoid whenever possible restoration of components of the brake mechanism, preferring replacement of the worn out knots.
2. At absence near at hand replaceable components regenerative repair of the wheel cylinder can be executed in the image described more low.
3. First of all it is necessary to take care of minimisation of risk of hit of a dirt in a hydraulic path of brake system. Use for addition in system only a pure brake liquid, - in case of need wash out all brake path, fill with its fresh liquid and pump over.
4. Remove the wheel cylinder from a brake board and transfer it on a pure workbench.

5. Remove пыльники and liberate from the cylinder pistons.

At cylinder assemblage пыльники are subject to replacement without fail. Prepare ремнабор.

6. Pistons of the wheel cylinder are equipped by sealing cuffs and расперты the spring located between them. Take all components from cylinder assemblage, - in case of need take advantage of compressed air. In the absence of access to a source of compressed air it is necessary to show extra care and to try not to damage at extraction of components of a cylinder mirror. All components entering into the complete set ремнабора are subject to replacement.

7. Carefully wash out all metal components, including the cylinder case, денатурированным spirit or a pure brake liquid.

At all do not use for washing of components of the brake mechanism gasoline, kerosene, solvents and the other mineral oil, capable to lead to destruction of rubber sealing components.


8. Carefully dry all details (whenever possible with application of compressed air), - in order to avoid hit in the cylinder of pile do not use for drying of components rags.
9. Attentively examine working surfaces of cylinders. In case of revealing of scratches, задиров and other mechanical defects make replacement.

10. Spread out the prepared components as their installation in cylinder assemblage.

11. Grease mirrors of the cylinder and sealing cuffs of pistons with a pure brake liquid.

12. Establish internal cuffs, then fill pistons in the cylinder.

13. Manually, without application of any tools, plant пыльники in reception flutes.


Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Establish the cylinder on the regular place on a board of the brake mechanism. Screw fixing bolts and tighten them with demanded effort (10 H•м).
2. Connect to the cylinder a brake line, having tightened накидную its nut штуцерного connections with effort 15 H•м.
3. Add in tank GTTS a fresh brake liquid and ослабьте the gate of prorolling of the established wheel cylinder, - the liquid will start to fill the cylinder that will allow to reduce time spent later on prorolling of a contour.
4. Establish assemblage of an automatic regulator.
5. Establish the top coupling spring.
6. Establish a spring of fastening of a boot to the regulator lever.
7. Establish a brake drum.
8. Establish a wheel, lower the car on the earth and pump over a brake contour (the Section Prorolling of brake system see).
