At all do not use for rubbing of components of brake system by gasoline or solvents on an oil basis, - apply only firm cleaners or methyl spirit!

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. A design of the drum-type brake mechanism used on models Mirage on 1992 вып. It is presented on an illustration.
2. Поддомкратьте the car also establish it on props.
3. Remove a corresponding back wheel.
4. Remove a dustproof cover ступичной nuts.
5. Give самоконтрящуюся ступичную a nut.
6. Remove the external wheel bearing.
7. Remove from a spindle a brake drum in gathering with the internal wheel bearing.
8. Remove an epiploon.


Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. For validity check to further use самоконтрящейся nuts screw it on a spindle so that the end of the last left outside approximately on 3 mm. Measure twisting moment of resistance to nut rotation counter-clockwise. The result of measurement makes less than 5.5 H•м, the nut is subject to replacement.
2. Grease and establish the internal bearing.
3. Establish a new epiploon.
4. Put on a spindle a brake drum.
5. Grease and establish the external wheel bearing.
6. Tighten самоконтрящуюся ступичную a nut with demanded effort (150 ÷ 200 H•м).
7. Establish a protective cover.


Condition check

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Measure internal diameter of the brake drum removed from the car, - for the purpose of revealing of signs of ovality measurement should be made in several points.

2. If the result of measurement exceeds maximum permissible value (231 mm), replace a drum complete with boots (see Has undressed Removal and installation of brake boots).

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. A design of the drum-type brake mechanism used on models Galant and Mirage since 1993 вып. It is presented on an illustration.
2. Поддомкратьте the car also establish it on props.
3. Remove a corresponding back wheel.
4. Ослабьте an adjusting nut of a drive of a lay brake.

5. Having pulled on itself, remove a brake drum with ступичной assemblages, - in case of need обстучите assemblage by a hammer with soft brisk for the purpose of its clearing. If the disk at boiled and does not give in to removal, screw in specially provided two carving apertures in its obverse surface pair of bolts approaching on the size and, gradually tightening them, release a drum.


Installation

1. Establish a drum on a nave.
2. Establish a wheel adjust a drive of a lay brake.
3. Lower the car on the earth.
