Disk brake mechanisms - the general information The principle of functioning of disk brake mechanisms is extremely simple: at squeezing of a pedal of a foot brake made brake disk rigidly jointed with wheel assemblage of pig-iron is densely clamped between two equipped frictional overlays колодками. Modern brake disks have a ventilated design, that appreciably raises efficiency of a heat-conducting path from assemblage and prevents a dangerous overheat of components.
