Check of a condition and replacement of the hoses located in an impellent compartment

Performance of replacement of hoses of refrigerator lines К/В should be left to experts of a workshop of the car-care centre, having necessary equipment and possessing the due qualification, allowing to make a safe discharge of system. At all do not disconnect any refrigerator lines until the system will not be completely discharged!


The general data

Under the influence of the heats which are taking place in an impellent compartment of the car, the material of the rubber in it rubber and plastic hoses starts to collapse eventually. It is necessary to examine regularly all hoses located under a cowl on presence of cracks, traces of leaks, signs of hardening of a material and easing штуцерных connections.

The detailed information on check of a condition of hoses of system of cooling of the engine/heating of salon is stated in Section Check of a condition of components of system of cooling.

For fastening of some (but not all) hoses on the unions collars are used. Check reliability of a tightening шланговых collars, - easing of their fastening conducts to development of leaks. If the hose is planted without a collar, make sure that its end remains elastic enough for dense обжимания to an union surface.

Vacuum hoses

1. Usually all vacuum hoses especially used in systems of decrease of toxicity of fulfilled gases, are marked by a colour code, or in their walls вплавлены colour strips. In various systems various demands can be made to a thickness of walls of vacuum hoses used in them. Hoses should provide various stability to схлопыванию, to temperature influences and other factors. Watch that replaceable hoses answered on the parametres removed from the car.
2. Usually authentically to estimate a condition of a vacuum hose it is possible only having removed it from the car. If it is necessary to remove more than one hose, preliminary take care of their accurate marks for the purpose of observance of correctness of connection at assemblage.
3. During check of a vacuum hose, do not forget to estimate also its condition plastic штуцерных connections. Examine the union on presence of cracks and make sure of planting density on it of a hose. Non-uniformity of deformation of a hose at its planting to the union conducts to development of losses of depression.
4. The short piece of a vacuum hose in internal diameter about 7 mm is a fine stethoscope with which help sources of losses of depression easily enough come to light. One end of a hose nestles on the checked surface, the second - to an ear. Depression losses are always accompanied by hissing.

At listening of components try not to touch such moving components in an impellent compartment, as приводные belts, blades крыльчатки the fan, etc.!


Fuel hoses

At service of components of the power supply system it is not necessary to forget, that gasoline is easily flammable liquid in the higher measure. Do not smoke near to a work place, do not come nearer to it with open fire! Immediately collect all traces of the spilt fuel, put the rags impregnated with PETROLEUM PRODUCTS in such place where the probability of its casual ignition is absolutely excluded! Always hold near at hand the class fire extinguisher In! Try not to suppose gasoline hit on open sites of a skin - long contact such is capable to lead to development of cancer diseases. Remember that the path of system of injection of fuel constantly is under superfluous internal pressure which should be without fail dumped prior to the beginning of work (see the Head of the Power supply system and release).

1. Check up all rubber fuel hoses on presence of signs of ageing of a material and other defects. Special attention give to a condition of sites of an excess and the areas located directly ahead of the ends put on unions.
2. As replaceable lines high-quality fuel hoses should be used only. At all it is not necessary to establish not strengthened vacuum hoses, transparent plastic tubes or garden hoses in a power supply system path.
3. Often for fixing of fuel hoses on unions collars of spring type are used. Such collars lose in due course durability of the planting, besides, frequently unexpectedly come off at the moment of a hose detachment. It will be reasonable to replace such collars more reliable and safe worm or screw.


Metal lines

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Sections of metal tubes are often used as fuel lines. Attentively check up all rigid fuel lines on presence of dents, excesses and other deformations. Make sure of absence of cracks and signs of the beginning of their formation.
2. If any of sections of a metal line is subject to replacement, use as replaceable only a seamless steel tube. Copper and aluminium tubes do not suit use as replacement as do not provide due stability to influence of the vibrations arising in system at work of the engine.
3. Attentively examine metal brake tubes in places of their connection to ГТЦ and to the valve-terminator (if that is provided). Pay attention to such defects as cracks, try to reveal signs of weakening of fastenings. In case of revealing of traces of leaks it is necessary to check up immediately a condition of all brake system as a whole.
