Hinges of power shafts - the general information and service

The general information

For a complete set of power shafts of cars considered in the present Management hinges of several various types can be used. The concrete choice is defined by working volume of the engine, transmission type, hinge position on a shaft (internal or external) and even position actually a shaft on the car (right or left).

Before to start to any sort to hinge service (including replacement of a protective cover) it is necessary to define its design. First of all it is necessary to pay attention to identification number шарнирной of assemblage, - number is usually put on the big face surface of the hinge, sometimes marks can be beaten out on the ends of bandage tapes.

As already it was mentioned above, on cars considered in the present Management it is used a little, namely three types of hinges of power shafts: hinges Birfilda (BJ), триподные hinges (TJ) and hinges of double indemnification (DOJ).

Hinges Birfilda are not subject to dismantling and in case of failure are replaced in gathering.

The important operational parametre of hinges of all types is the distance between bandage летами fastenings of a protective cover, - excessive extension of a cover, or its too free planting can lead to formation of cracks, loss of greasing and hit inside шарнирной dirt and moisture assemblages.

For stuffing of hinges of power shafts the special greasing without fail delivered in the complete set with replaceable covers is used.

Hinges of double indemnification (DOJ)

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Hinges DOJ differ from other in larger overall dimensions and are usually used as internal SHRUS.
2. Remove a power shaft from the car (see Has undressed Removal and installation of power shafts).

3. Estimate a condition of a rubber protective cover.

4. Бокорезами have a bite metal bandage tapes and remove a protective cover from an external holder (case) of the hinge.

5. Find and remove the big lock ring in the basis шарнирной assemblages. Remove an external holder (case) of the hinge.

6. Take a small lock ring and remove an internal holder in gathering with a separator and balls. Carefully clean the removed knot, not assorting it.
7. If the condition of a protective cover is recognised by satisfactory and it is subject to further use, wipe a pin of a shaft and wind equipped шлицами a site with an adhesive tape protective layer, then cautiously remove a cover from a shaft.
8. In case of need at the given stage can be removed as well a protective cover of the external BJ-hinge.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check up reliability of protection шлицов a shaft an adhesive tape.
2. Fill a protective cover of the hinge special greasing (greasing usually delivered complete with a new cover shares on two equal parts, one of which leaves on stuffing of cavities of the hinge, the second is pushed in a cover).
3. Plant on a shaft a hinge separator (the smaller party of a separator forward). Slightly tapping on perimetre of a face surface a hammer through brass выколотку, accurately begin to knock an internal holder assemblage against the stop it in a special coat hanger on a shaft pin. Filling cavities of components greasing, joint a holder with a separator and fill in last balls.
4. Also having filled greasing, establish an external holder (case) of the hinge.
5. Pull on the case шарнирной assemblages a protective cover (for alignment of pressure hook cover edge the stupid tool and let out from under it air) and fix its new bandage tapes, - track, that the distance between internal and external tapes corresponded to standard requirements.
6. Establish a shaft on the car (see Has undressed Removal and installation of power shafts).

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped by a security code before to disconnect the battery make sure that have a correct combination for audiosystem input in action!

2. Remove a power shaft (see Has undressed Removal and installation of power shafts).
3. Estimate a condition of a rubber protective cover.
4. Бокорезами have a bite bandage tapes and remove from the case шарнирной assemblages a protective cover.
5. Take a lock ring a lock ring and remove from a shaft pin крестовину триодной assemblages.

Триподный the knot is not subject to dismantling and demands care in circulation.

6. If the condition of a protective cover is recognised by satisfactory and it is subject to further use, wipe a pin of a shaft and wind equipped шлицами a site with an adhesive tape protective layer, then cautiously remove from a shaft dynamic демпфер (in the presence of that) and rubber covers/covers.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check up reliability of protection шлицов a shaft an adhesive tape.
2. In a corresponding order cautiously plant on a shaft covers/covers and dynamic демпфер (if it is provided).
3. Establish триподную assemblage and fix its lock ring.
4. Fill internal cavities of the hinge special greasing from ремнабора (use on hinge stuffing about half of stock of greasing, - second half will leave on cover filling).

Try not to admit greasing hit on rubber elements of assemblage dynamic демпфера if that is provided!

5. Having filled the rests of greasing a cover, pull it on the hinge case (for alignment of pressure hook cover edge the stupid tool and let out from under it air) and fix bandage tapes, - track, that the distance between internal and external tapes corresponded to standard requirements.
6. Establish a shaft on the car (see Has undressed Removal and installation of power shafts) and connect a negative wire to the battery.
