Control lamps and indicators

The whole complex of control lamps and indicators with which help the driver receives the important information on serviceability/infringement functioning of the basic units and car systems is built in assemblage of a combination of devices of the car. The scheme of an arrangement of control lamps on an instrument guard is presented on an illustration. More low the information on a principle of functioning of each of the provided light indicators separately is offered to attention of the reader.

Control lamps of indexes of turn

1. Two control lamps in the form of arrows have a green luminescence and serve for the control of serviceability of functioning of corresponding indexes of turns. The direction of display arrows coincides with the chosen direction of a course change of the car. Control lamps work in a flashing mode with the frequency corresponding to frequency of a blinking of indexes of turn. The speeded up blinking of one of control lamps usually testifies about перегорании lamps of one of indexes of corresponding turn. It is necessary to make replacement of the burnt down lamp at the first possibility not to create emergencies on roads.


2. The simultaneous blinking of control lamps of indexes of both turns usually accompanies alarm system inclusion.

Control lamp of inclusion of a headlight

The given light indicator lights up simultaneously with inclusion of a headlight of head headlights of the car and differs a characteristic dark blue luminescence.


Control lamp of inclusion of forward antifog headlights

Operation of the given control lamp accompanies inclusion of forward antifog headlights of the car. The lamp has a green luminescence.


Control lamp of inclusion of back foggy lanterns

The lamp differs an amber luminescence and serves for indication of inclusion of back foggy lanterns.


Control lamp of level of a liquid of washing of glasses

The given lamp is shone by yellow light and serves for the notice of the driver on the termination of a stock of a liquid of washing of glasses/lenses of head headlights.


Control lamp of pressure of impellent oil

The control lamp has an amber luminescence and serves for the notice of the driver on dangerous decrease in level of impellent oil. The lamp also quickly works at engine start.


Control lamp of leaky closing of doors

Burning of the given control lamp warns the driver what not all doors of the car are densely slammed. The lamp has a red luminescence.


Control lamp of raising lay brakes/refusals of brake system

1. The control lamp (red) continuously burns at raising of a lay brake, reminding the driver about its necessity отпускания before the movement beginning. Movement with the cocked lay brake leads to a fast overheat and failure of brake mechanisms of back wheels of the car and premature deterioration of protectors of tyres of back wheels, but also, can become a cause of infringement of serviceability of functioning of system of antiblocking of brakes (ABS).


2. If the control lamp continues to burn after отпускания a lay brake, or joins in movement time, it usually testifies to excessive falling of level of a brake liquid. One of the possible reasons of gradual decrease in level of a brake liquid is normal deterioration of frictional overlays brake колодок. Control lamp of pressure of impellent oil

The control lamp of pressure of impellent oil (red) should light up at inclusion of ignition and die away right after engine start. Control lamp of a charge of the storage battery

The control lamp of a charge should light up at inclusion of ignition and die away right after engine start. Inclusion of the given control lamp at the working engine warns the driver about infringement of serviceability of functioning of system of a charge, i.e., the storage battery passes a category mode. It is necessary to switch off at once all consumers of the electric power on which functioning safety of traffic does not depend and to try not to admit останова the engine as attempt of its start can lead to the definitive category of the battery. The car should be driven away at once on the nearest car repair shop for carrying out of diagnostics of refusal and performance of necessary regenerative repair.


Control lamp “Check up the engine”

The control lamp (amber) quickly lights up at ignition inclusion. Ignoring of signals of a control lamp is fraught with serious damages of the engine, up to a unit exit out of operation. At operation of a control lamp on the move it is necessary to stop immediately movement, to park in a safe place and to muffle the engine, then, after small time, to make start, observing thus behind behaviour of a control lamp. If the lamp has not returned to a normal mode of functioning and continues to burn, the car should be driven away on the nearest car repair shop for carrying out of detailed diagnostics and performance of necessary regenerative repair. Before elimination of malfunction of systems of the engine try to move with moderate speed, avoiding sharp dispersals with full squeezing of a pedal of gas.

Even if at engine restart the control lamp comes back in a normal mode of functioning (i.e., dies away), it is necessary to address at the first possibility for consultation on a car repair shop, especially if such inclusions of a lamp occur not for the first time.


Continuation of operation of the car with the included control lamp of infringement of serviceability of functioning of systems of the engine can lead to premature failure каталитического the converter. Remember that on refusals and the damages which have resulted operation of the car with the included control lamp, manufacturer guarantee certificates do not extend!


Control lamp of system of additional safety (SRS)

The given control lamp lights up at inclusion of ignition and should die away right after realisation of start of the engine. If the llama continues to burn at the working engine (in a constant or flashing mode), it specifies in presence of malfunction of components of system SRS. At a corresponding complete set operation of the given control lamp can be the malfunction certificate in contours of lateral pillows of safety, or devices automatic emergency натяжителей seat belts.


Control lamp of a reserve stock of fuel

Tachometre

The tachometre shows frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft of the engine in thousand turns a minute. In order to avoid an engine exit out of operation it is forbidden to exceed as much as possible admissible frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft (the arrow of a tachometre never should come into a red zone of a scale).


Speedometer

The speedometer shows speed of movement of the car. As a unit of measure usually serves km/h. In some cases on a measuring instrument dial can be put two scales: km/h and miles/ch. The alarm buzzer of excess of admissible safe speed of movement (120 km/h) can sometimes enter into a car complete set.

The device registers current quantity of fuel in a tank. The error of indications of a measuring instrument is minimum, when the car occupies strictly horizontal position. At car movement on twisting or hilly roads the device error increases. Measuring instrument functioning does not depend on ignition key position. Label F corresponds to a condition of full refuelling, Е - to an empty tank. The control lamp built in a dial () informs the driver on necessity at the first possibility to make car refuelling.

The index of temperature of a cooling liquid of the engine

The device registers temperature of a cooling liquid of the engine. The normal working temperature of the engine at car operation in usual conditions corresponds to average position of an arrow of the index. In heavy conditions of operation, for example, in very hot weather or at long lifting uphill the arrow of the index can rise to the top red mark in a scale (). If the engine temperature has increased so, that the arrow of the index comes into limits of a red range of a scale of a measuring instrument (label), it is necessary to stop immediately movement, to move down on a roadside, to park the car and to make check of a condition of system of cooling about finding-out of the reasons of an overheat of the engine (see the Head of Adjustment and routine maintenance).

Одометр fixes the general run of the car in kilometres or miles, depending on an execution variant.

Measuring instrument of run/index of temperature of external air

The measuring instrument registers current run of the car from the moment of last dump of indications (in kilometres or miles, depending on an execution variant). Dump of indications of a measuring instrument is made by means of the special button which has been built in in an instrument guard more to the left of assemblage of a speedometer.

Choice of a mode of functioning of external lighting devices

1. The choice of a mode of functioning of external lighting devices (dimensions, near light) is made by means of located on the lever end подрулевого the switch of the rotary handle. There is a possibility of a choice of one of three modes of external illumination:


O it is switched off
— Dimensional fires - join forward and back dimensional fires, lanterns of illumination of licence plate
— The passing light - in additives to involved in the previous position of the handle to fires joins a passing light of head headlights
2. On the models equipped with system of running fires of day time of days (DRL) head headlights automatically are translated in a passing light mode at ignition inclusion. Also back dimensional fires are automatically activated.
3. The majority of models is equipped by the alarm buzzer serving for the prevention of the driver about necessity of switching-off of illumination before an exit from the car. The buzzer works at attempt of opening of a driver's door at the switched off ignition (a key in position LOCK or АСС) if the handle of a choice of a mode of external illumination is not translated in position “Выкл” O.

Remember that excessively long functioning of external illumination at the muffled engine is fraught подсадкой the storage battery!

1. Transfer of head headlights from a passing light mode in a headlight mode is made by lever transfer подрулевого the switch in position (1), - automatically on an instrument guard the corresponding control lamp of characteristic dark blue light (see above) should light up.
2. Possibility of the alarm system is provided by a headlight also: the alarm system is carried out by a lung отжимания the lever подрулевого the switch in a direction of inclusion of a headlight (position (2)) and irrespective of the chosen position of the handle of a choice of a mode of functioning of external lighting devices (see above).

Indexes of turns

Activation of indexes of turns

1 — Inclusion of indexes in a constant mode (before operation of the terminal switch or lever transfer in average position)

2 — Short-term activation of indexes (to отпускания the lever)


1. Activation of indexes of turns is made by отжимания the lever left подрулевого the switch in a corresponding direction. The lever is translated upwards or downwards, in dependence of the chosen direction of a course change.
2. While translating the lever in extreme top/bottom position (before click) corresponding indexes of turns will continue to function until the steering wheel will not be returned in rectilinear position (will work the terminal switch) or while the lever will not be returned in neutral position.
3. Short-term inclusion of indexes, for example, at intention to replace рядность movements is made by easy procrastination of the lever upwards or downwards.

Washers of lenses of head headlights

1. Inclusion of washers of lenses of head headlights for 0.5 seconds is made by unitary нажимания on the face handle left combined подрулевого the switch.

Activation of washers is possible only at the included external lighting devices (any of active positions of the handle).


2. Periodically check positions of spraying atomizers, - the stream of a liquid submitted through them should get on a surface of lenses.
3. Watch, that at the tank of washers constantly there was a liquid.

Regulator of an inclination of optical axes of head headlights

1. The corner of an inclination of optical axes of head headlights changes depending on car loading.
2. For adjustment of a distance of illumination (at passing light inclusion) not to blind drivers of counter cars, it is possible to use a regulator of an inclination of optical axes of headlights.
3. The regulator should be established in position (according to the resulted table), corresponding to quantity of passengers and degree of loading of the car.

On cars with self-adjustable shock-absorbers the corner of an inclination of a beam of head headlights is supported to constants automatically.

The switch of cleaners and windscreen washers

1. Activation of cleaners and washers of the wind is possible only at the included ignition (a key in position ON or АСС).
2. For management of cleaners/washers of glasses one of three types of switches is used.

The switch of the first type

Inclusion of a mode of unitary operation of screen wipers and mode of washing of glass

1. The first type of the switch is used for management of screen wipers without possibility of adjustment of duration of pauses of an interval mode. In this case the lever подрулевого the switch is not equipped with the rotary handle. The choice of a mode of functioning of cleaners is made by lever transfer in one of four possible positions:

O it is switched off
--- Interval mode
l slow movement
ll fast movement

2. Possibility of unitary operation of cleaners is provided also, - it is enough to delay slightly the lever подрулевого the switch on itself. The given function appears especially useful at movement in a fog or under a drizzle. Stronger procrastination of the lever will lead to operation of washers
3. Inclusion of washers of glass is made by means of procrastination on itself of the lever подрулевого the switch.

Giving of a washing liquid is accompanied by several cycles of operation of screen wipers.

Switches of the second and third types

Other two types of switches are used for management of screen wipers with possibility of adjustment of duration of pauses of an interval mode. The mentioned adjustment is carried out by rotation of the ring switch in the centre of the handle of the lever подрулевого the switch, or rotation of the face handle of the lever. Inclusion of all functions is made also as well as in case of switches of the first type (see above).


The switch of a cleaner and washer of back glass

1. The Cleaner/washer of back glass are activated only at the included ignition (a key will turn in position ON or АСС).

2. Cleaner inclusion is made by поворачивания management handles on the lever corresponding подрулевого the switch. The cleaner has two operating conditions of functioning: the mode of continuous work and the interval mode, which inclusion is made by consecutive transfer of the handle clockwise from zero position ().

3. Giving of a washing liquid is made by means of поворачивания handles counter-clockwise from neutral position ().

Safety measures at using cleaners and washers of glasses

1. Attempts of start of screen wipers at the brushes which have frozen slightly to glass are fraught with an electromotor exit out of operation as a result of an overheat, - glass preliminary should be cleared of ice/snow and to warm up by обдува hot air (see Has undressed Comfort).
2. Avoid inclusion of screen wipers at dry glass, - it is fraught with occurrence of scratches on glass, and also appreciably reduces service life of rubber working elements of brushes.
3. It is not necessary to include a washer continuously more than for 20 seconds, also avoid inclusion of washers at the empty tank, is it is fraught with failure приводного the electromotor of the submitting pump. Periodically check liquid level in the tank, in case of need make corresponding updating (see the Head of Adjustment and routine maintenance).
4. In a cold season fill in in the tank of washers of glasses only special cold-resistant structures, - freezing of a washing liquid can lead to failure of the tank and tubes of a submitting path.
5. Before use of washers in cold weather preliminary warm up glass, - liquid freezing can lead to dangerous deterioration of the review to the driver.

The switch of the emergency light alarm system

1. Alarm system inclusion is made by отжимания the push-button switch built in in the central part of the panel of devices of the car and usually equipped with an alarm lamp with the pictogramme, representing two triangles entered each other.

2. Alarm system inclusion leads to simultaneous operation of all four indexes of turns (and their control lamps on an instrument guard of the car). The alarm system is intended for the prevention of other participants of traffic of the compelled stop of the car and used also in other dangerous situations provided by rules of traffic.

The switch of electroheating of back glass / external rear-view mirrors

1. Electroheating inclusion allows to remove from a surface of back glass of a condensate, hoarfrost, and even thin наледи. The button of inclusion of electroheating is located on the control panel by functioning of a heater/conditioner of air.

On in appropriate way the equipped models simultaneously with heating of back glass joins as well heating of external rear-view mirrors.


2. At heating inclusion the light indicator lights up built in the button of the switch.
3. Heating switching-off is made by repeated pressing the button.

On the models equipped with a central air of air switching-off of heating of glass it is made automatically in 20 minutes on a timer signal. Do not forget to check before the movement beginning quality of the review through back glass of the car.

4. The threadlike grid of a heating element of a heater is pasted on an internal surface of back glass and demands care in circulation, - try not to damage a grid at glass wiping. Wiping should be made only along heater threads.

The switch of antifog headlights

Antifog headlights can be included only at included dimensional fires and are automatically disconnected at deenergizing of the last. For inclusion of antifog headlights press the button built in the panel of devices of the switch (see an accompanying illustration). The control lamp reminding to the driver is built in the switch button that antifog headlights remain included. Switching-off of headlights is carried out by repeated pressing the button.


The switch of back foggy lanterns

Activation of back foggy lanterns becomes possible only at the included head and-or forward antifog headlights (at a corresponding complete set). For inclusion of foggy lanterns press the button built in in the panel of devices of the switch (directly under the button of inclusion of forward antifog headlights). The control lamp reminding to the driver is built in the button that foggy lanterns remain included, on an instrument guard of the car the corresponding control lamp (see above) also lights up. Switching-off of lanterns is carried out by repeated pressing the button.

Foggy lanterns are disconnected automatically together with head headlights.

The regulator of brightness of illumination is located on the panel of devices of the car, is direct to the left of a steering column. Demanded intensity of illumination of the panel is made by rotation of an adjusting castor of a potentiometer.

The fixture is located in a forward part of the ceiling arch of the car and joins automatically at opening of doors. On the models equipped with the anticreeping alarm system at closing of doors of a lamp of the fixture start to reduce smoothly brightness of a luminescence before full deenergizing. The fixture consists of two separate sections providing independent illumination of the left and right half of salon and operated individual switches.

On models with the top hatch the design main салонного the fixture differs from described above a little. Switching of modes of functioning of the fixture is carried out by means of the complete set from three push-button switches located in an average part плафонной of assemblage, lateral buttons are intended for inclusion-deenergizing of lamps of personal illumination.
