Preparation for major repairs performance

Make cleaning of an impellent compartment and external surfaces of the power unit with application of one of a wide spectrum of special solvents. Such processing will allow to avoid hit of a dirt in the engine.

In case of need, forthcoming work defined by character, it is possible to remove a cowl for the purpose of maintenance of freedom of access to components subject to service (the Body see the Head). Cover car wings with special covers, or simply old blankets in order to avoid casual damage of a paint and varnish covering.

If presence of suspicions on losses of depression or the leak of oil cooling liquids, the fulfilled gases, etc. specifies in necessity of performance of replacement of corresponding linings or epiploons, practically any of the listed procedures can be executed without extraction of the engine from the car (in situ). Told concerns procedures of replacement of linings of the inlet pipeline and final collectors, the pallet картера, heads of cylinders, and also both epiploons of a cranked shaft.

Dismantle, repair and installation of such external knots and hinged units as the inlet pipeline, final collectors, the pallet картера, oil and water pumps, a starter, the generator and power supply system components also can be made in situ.

As heads of cylinders can be removed from the engine without preliminary extraction of the power unit, repair клапанного the mechanism also can be made directly on the car. Besides, in situ replacement of camshafts, газораспределительного a belt and cogwheels of drive ГРМ is usually made.

In an emergency without dismantle of the power unit performance of repair and replacement of piston rings, pistons, rods and шатунных bearings of a cranked shaft is supposed also. However it is not necessary to abuse such possibility in view of the complexities connected with necessity of observance of cleanliness and carrying out of some preparatory procedures.
